Summer is this, fascinating
This won't be my last post on sea creatures because I'm completed fascinated after visiting the Aquarium. Now I dream of owning a big watertank with brilliant jellyfishes.

Summer is this, beautiful

Summer is this, unexpected. The Baseball Project.

Thanks to David, an old friend, we had an amazing night, met the people from Marah and enjoyed two great shows (the Jayhawks were also playing that night). We stayed really late too, the latest I have since I'm a mother, I must admit.
The only thing that saddened me was not being able to stay another day and see Marah live and had another wondeful night with friends.

Clouds low enough to touch the mountains acompanied us along our drive.

And not everything looks like a summer postcard. Reality creeps in through the cracks.

Summer is this, fun
The air is salty today.
And here I begin a series of posts that will try to capture what summer feels like to me.
I hope I succeed.

As I lay dreaming
¿Alguien quiere venir?
Before my vacation begins I want to share with you what I'm drawing lately. This drawing might make it to an exhibit in autumn. I'm going deeper in oniric and magic worlds. So does anyone out there wanna come along?

Reinvent
In a few days I'll be beginning my summer vacation. The moment seems to get away but I know it'll come. Among making lists and the packing to do, I've been thinking of the things I expect from my holidays and what they usually end up giving me in return.
I expect to rest a little, sunbathe, gather with family and our summer gang, revisit some childhood memories and, well, let life enjoyment soak through to the marrow and create some reserves to last all year long. It never stops to amaze me that there's always a similar moment every summer, when I'm at the beach, relaxed, kids playing and making a racket, the breeze playing with my hair and my eyes set on the waves, that I'll say to myself: "a whole year to get to this joyful moment; this is as good as it gets".
During our holidays I also fill up my notebooks and my mind with new ideas, some unfeasible, some undefined, others attractive enough to get their way through the year ahead.
Our vacation is also our reinvention.
Have a nice weekend!
