The hand project XII: Thank you for the music (and a brand new draw)

Santi's hands

If I look back I only see a life full of music. What did I have before my daughters came? Music. What were my subjects of conversation? Music. Which were my activities? Concerts, tours, records… Before being a mother I was a fan, a tourmanager, I organized concerts, I created a record label, I participated in music zines, and fleetingly I wrote for newspapers and I worked in the radio. Those were funny, unique years. I made friends that I would never forget. Years full of extraordinary anecdotes.
The Inquilino Comunista is the paradigm of my life of music. They are part of my past and my present. Playing with those exciting memories, that creast of the wave affaire, and at the same time playing with my present mundane, familiar life. From time to time they escape from the dull adult life; with just a guitar stroke they bring back the memory of their greatest hits. The songs that make me feel that summer is here and that in my mind I will never get old.

Alvaro's hands

Marie-Laure is right, guitars look super-sexy whenshoot from there...

Don't want to seem dirty in this lovely blog but sometimes that kind of photos make me feel things strangely close to those of "spicy" magazines...

awwww esti, these are really beautiful! i love your line, it's so subtle and expressive!
i can identify with you (your post) there because i've also always been directly connected to music (i'm a singer/songwiter too) and my music has been left aside, neglected for a while now as i'm dedicating most of my time on the graphics/illustration work ...
all very lovely in this blog :)

Nice thought that hands can contain so much...maybe you can know a lot of a person just on their hands?!

It is a many things that I likes a lot, but first my family of course, my children and my husband. And music means a lot, I love Swedish music but if I will choose some that we can divide I takes … Bjork, Nick Cave, Nick Drake and Anthony.
And I love to be creative and to do things with my hands! I feel so very happy when I am working in my studio!
And my friends:)

Thanks for tagging me lovely Esti! I've answered the questions. :-)

Things that move me...
A sudden unexpected glimpse of sunlight on water.
The sound of my children's laughter through the open window. The dawn mists. The sound of the peacock across the marsh. Sigur Ros. Tiny arms around my neck.
I could go on and on...!

Esti - these are absolutely gorgeous.

The things that move me most are: the date, the smalls, family, people who dream big (& follow those dreams), early mornings, beautiful photographs, handwork, rain, running.

Thank you Esti for being one of the dreamers.

That sounds like your life was very busy :-)
Every part of my life is connected with some music and always I listen to it, I can remeber moments from that time.

My passions in life are my family, travelling, old pretty things & stories from the past, beautiful photographs & friends. Little bit predictable, but true.

Things that move me most in life:

my memories of all the stories my father used to tell me - and the objects he showed me carrying the stories. (I can still hear his voice) He taught me about charishing the history and value obejcts you keep.

smelling my little son's warm skin in his neck when he has just fallen asleep - beeing overwhelmed by my feelings for him.

the flow and excitement when I create an art piece even better than I had hoped. And the relief and happiness when it is still as good the next day.
