Tengo suerte.
I'm lucky. As soon as I can go for a walk often in Bilbao and enjoy the turistic view, as I can go next day for an outting to the countryside where my brother lives and have a rural day. If you ask the girls, they'll say uncle's place is "cooool".
The Bilbao Guggenheim Museum has become part of our daily scenery. Ok, it's a modern museum and so. But it's become a appealing resource for rainy days (very few nowadays). On the other hand, for these sunny days it's an excuse to act like a tourist for a moment.
Weekends are like a box of surprises. Sometimes your expectations don't get fulfilled, while some other times fantastic plans happen. To begin with, we are havin't such splendid sunny days that we can easily have outtings. It hasn't rained this month, nor the past month for that matter, so we get the good weather for granted. It's so frightening what will come ahead! A snowy spring or a beachless summer... I can't stand the idea...

I wonder how the seasons will be, too.

Have a wonderful day...
Cheers,
Diana
Lucky you who live so near the museum. I have never been there.
Very nice photographs!
Here i Sweden we also have spring yesterday but not today…maybe tomorrow…?
i have a deep love for the curves of that building...it is one of my favorite things; i wish more architecture were willing to break into song like that, surprise us.
you are so lucky. Of course, the natural world is amazing too! What season are you in officially? No rain for two months sounds like a thirsty earth. : )
j, in Spain is said that if you pick dandelions you pee in your bed at night. But I love them even so!
diana, wonderful day to you too.
marie-louise, how's spring in Sweden. I guess your temperatures go by a different standard than mine...
mansuetude, your words move me as always. We've been completely into spring for the last four months now. I let you know when the winter comes (this is going backwards, isn't it?)
Thank you all for your comments.
I'm so jealous, I want to see the Guggenheim in person! Here in Seattle we have the crazy rock and roll museum but it's very ugly compared to the Guggenheim. Great pictures, I too haven't seen the building from these angles.
such a great building! I would like to touch it's shapes:) wow, your weather is a bit different from ours up north..!
esti, thanks for your kindness... i had to say about the dandelions is just so funny! here, i had an old man tell me they would make wine out of the dandelions... can you imagine your cultural ideas of dandelions and the dandelion wine... together who knows..?.. its a funny set of opposit ideas from one small flower. :)
Lucky you to live so close to that fabulous museum! I love the photo of the horse too. Very nice. I hope you had fun with your cousin too!
thank you for your very sweet comment on my blog esti. you're very lucky to live in bilbao, we did a great trip a few years ago, bilbao and san sebastian, ate pintxos like crazy! i love the guggenheim, what a wonderful building.
I truly appreciate all of your coments. I'm sure your cities offer wonderful sites, same or even better than this. We are often blind to nearby beauty.
francesca, since I drive to San Sebastian almost every week, I'll take some pictures of the pintxos at the Old Part Of Town bars, so you can relive your memories...
