The little things I like

Y llovió.
And so it rained.

Y como no quiero que esta lluvia me afecte, voy a pensar en las pequeñas cosas que me gustan:
And just because I don't want to be driven by a rainy mood, I'll writte down the many little things that I like:

el pan / bread
los anillos/ rings
rotuladores negros / black pens
cuadernos / sketchbooks
cámaras / cameras
los viajes / travels
papelerías /stationery stores
imperdibles / safety pins
converses / converse shoes
regaliz / licorice
pretzels
gaseosa / sparkling water
farolas / streetlamps
bosques / forests
cojines / cushions
colonia infantil / children cologne
maletas / suitcases
discos/ records
espejos de ascensor / elevator mirrors
el sabor de las lágrimas / the taste of tears
los techos altos / high ceilings
las magnolias / magnolia trees
donuts / doughnouts
la playa / beach
comida hindú / Indian food
las pizarras / chalkboards
las reuniones familiares / family reunions
los aeropuertos / airports
el verano / summertime
los marcos / frames
los portales / doorways
los recortables / paperdolls
los calcetines negros / black socks
las olas / ocean waves
los vasos anchos / wide glasses
el olor a vainilla / the smell of vanille
las bufandas / scarfs
las luces de navidad / christmas lights
la luna llena / full moon nights
las puertas blancas / white doors
...

y de la tortilla de patata de los bares, y de la Coke sin cafeina, y los solomillos y sobre todo el pan antes de comer.

Saludos.

I walked under that very same spider many years ago when it was in the Tate Modern in London. I love it so much!

P.S. I love the figure you have chosen for your banner. When I first saw her in your circle of women I felt that she was the artist who turns to her audience and sings them her song - i.e. you! Her outfit change is perfect, and I adore the tree.

P.P.S. One of your circle drawings inspired a chapter in one of my stories.

All things I love too, exept for doughnuts and licorice. I'll substitute them for champagne and capers!

Para alguien, como yo, que de pequeño estudió francés y que ahora se apura por aprender inglés un poco a trancas y barrancas, está genial leer en bilingüe las cosas que te gustan.
I'll close this frame and I'll read your little dictionnary another time.

Besos, Esti.

Esti, I like your list. And your idea of making a list on a rainy day. I sometimes interview my daughter and write down her inventions and thougths of life, on a rainy day..
