My shadow friends

This weekend we've also spared some time getting ourselves wrapped in spring green.

We are always carrying our camera around. My husband and I are creating our family story from pictures. And let me tell you, my three-year-old daughter has found out a true fascination for photography. She can spend her time looking through the lens. Sky, floor, passerbys, pebbles, shoes, lil' flowers, ants... She sees it all, she watches it all. For instance, her white balloon floating over her head, her shadow... Spring is greener, shadows are friendlier, the beach has more treasures , if she's the one looking.

I saw her pointing up and focusing to the balloon, which I had previously attached to her tiny wrist.
She later imitated me and shoot her shadow. I was amazed and proud as a father can be.

It's one of the things I love about digital photography. You can hand the camera to your child and not be cautioning them all the time about wasting film and picking their subject carefully. We came home from the zoo yesterday with nearly 300 photos..!

Seeing all the green is so nice, especially when it's pouring rain and gray here! Tell your daughter she takes lovely photos and to keep up the great work!

yasu, my daughter took the last two pictures (along with some other hundred or so; pretty ones too) :)

mrs. french, I guess they want to imitate us. See, my daughters don't play cooking, they play taking photos and drawing. I wonder... :)

husband, I know you are proud! she tries so hard to imitate you taking up close pictures, ha, ha...

I hope spring reaches everybody out there too! It's so sunny here now!
