The outdoor type

pictures taken by Dad during his wanderings/hikings

..........................................................................................

There are times when I'd love to be a little different. I feel so especially when someone gets all excited about things I have given up to in one way or another. Long ago I renounced seeing the day that I'll like camping, or drinking wine, or eating seafood, or diving, or watching soccer, or running every morning... People get enthusiastic about things like these and I totally understand it, seeing it through their eyes. But, oh well, they usually feel sorry for me. Nevermind, people, I really like the way I am. At my age I can reaffirm myself, no problem. I clearly know that I am not the outdoor type...
Fortunately, I can also enjoy beautiful landscapes around here, which don't involve hiking or great efforts, and I can also count on enjoying my dad's stories and pictures from all his daily wanderings.

So peaceful! where is everybody?

Thank you for sharing some of your landscape. I'm not a fan of hiking myself, a little more of an urban person, you know :)

i know what you mean about running everyday. But I would enjoy a good hike if not too difficult... just to be able to take such beautiful photos!

Your dad's pics are amazing.

Lemonheads (and Evan Dando) has a very special place in my heart. I know a place where I can go, into your arms...So simple yet so great.

once again you describe a sentiment perfectly that i've never been quite able to put into words. when i was younger i felt like i was missing out on many things other people did and enjoyed so much. but now i know that i simply enjoy doing other things, and that's OK.
