Back to work and a brand new camera

Ya he vuelto al trabajo. La rutina ha comenzado a infiltrarse esta mañana cuando he levantado a las niñas para ir al colegio. Primer día. La ilusión en sus caras, sus ojos más dormidos que despiertos. Llego a trabajar. El cálido sol de septiembre que veo fuera me hace despreciar aún más la luz artificial y mortecina bajo la que tengo que pasar unas horas. Septiembre es el mes de poner las cosas en orden, de encarrilar proyectos, el mes de los fascículos inverosímiles... Por lo que me cuentan, en muchos lugares el otoño ya se asoma. Sin embargo, yo aún me regodeo en las fotos del verano.
Ha sido un verano reflexivo, tranquilo, con poco tiempo para dibujar. Pero tengo una nueva cámara de la que estoy enamorada. Y doy gracias todos los días a la fotografía digital que me permite guardar los recuerdos y compartirlos cuando es necesario. Es una sensación maravillosa.

I'm back to work. This morning routine has sneaked in when I've woken up the girls early to go to school. First day. Their excited faces, their sleepy eyes. I've arrived to work early too. The warm sun of September has forced me to despise the artificial and dim light inside. September is the time to put things in order, to get the projects in the right tracks, the month of the unbelievable magazine installments (I'm not sure if this happens in every country), etc. For what I'm told, it feels like autumn already in many places. However, I'm still reluctant, enjoying my share of summer pictures.
It's been a quite reflective summer for me, calm. with hardly time for sketching, let alone drawing. But I must say I hace a brand new camera and I totally love it. And every single day I thank digital photography for allowing me to capture memories and share them when needed. It's a beautiful feeling.
