The Hand Project XVIII: all over K

Karina's Hands

A few months back I decided to open up this project to my blog readers. This project was born as a way of representing my personal landscape. The people close to me. Some time has passed since I began writting this blog and the experience has proved gratifying.Plus, the bonds we've built are sometimes so interesting and have given me back so much that I couldn't put aside this new aspect of my life. Somehow it's all part of my life now.

Pairing Karina's and karin's hands because of their names was too obvious, but I liked it anyway. The more I thought about it it stroke me how different they are. Beyond their names, through their own blogs, I see two contrasted characters.

Karina is a passional blogger, using her page to verbalize her inner world, her aesthetic, literary, art or musical likings, her family history or her political views... I picture her laughing and crying all at once.

Karin is a delicate, reflexive and intimist blogger. Her pieces are gentle and highly inspired by nature and tales. She emphazises the little details, the light and the story behind objects. I picture her making shadows on the walls and telling fairytales to her kids.
