Busy

- How are you?
- Busy

no soy activista feminista
y soy feliz

¿Qué símbolos utilizáis vosotros?

...................................................................................................................

I like working with symbols, repetition and series. These symbols are helpful to analyze myself and the world around me. Most of the people that follow this blog and personally know me question me about items in my drawings. I like to feel a story waiting to be told in them, I like them to raise my smile and I don't want anybody to have a sad or unrestless approach. Where do these symbols come from... I have my theories, but I can assure you that:

I get great with men
I'm not a feminist activist
I have a wonderful husband (unbearded too)
and I'm happy

Which symbols do you use?

Today's music:
Beck, Smog

Me encanta esa frase...

It is good to show up the femme fatale you carry inside. Your personal view of feminism is humorous and ironic. Maybe the single word "busy" and the head in the basket reflect that both women would like to talk but are swept away by their personal daily vortex.

I love finding symbols in work - these are so lovely. I always tend towards a spiral-like symbol.

did your father have a beard?
Sigmund Freud had a beard.

or maybe the beard is a symbol of history? Of how it was. Your bearded men look greek to me.

I use the bunny as a symbol
and Alice in wonderland.

I understood that before you explained it, so I think that shows that your symbols really are very powerful and complex. No cliches to be found in Esti's blog!

P.S. Thank you so much for tagging me in your last post, it was just what I needed.

There's nothing wrong with being a feminist, but there is something wrong with hating men :)

These are great Esti, I love your work!

Thanks for your reflections... inspiring somehow.

alexandra, your are pretty accurate about the symbol of history. It's exactly what these beheaded men are... symbols of personal history; the past we all carry with us. I'd love to see some of your bunnies. Alice in wonderland is very powerful.

Thanks for this feedback y'all.
