Good girls don't

girl skaters series; work in progress

"Mom, when you grow very old and die, you become a child again, right?"
Clearly my youngest daughter believes in reencarnation.
If I had a second life, I'd be a girl skater. If Ihad to choose I wouldn't change my life, but I would just put a skate under my feet. When these girl skaters move or slide they have an unique appeal, only comparable to artistic talent. They are so very few around here... I'd be one of them. In a different life, of course.

i had a scateboard when young... we had a tremendous blast.

its a joy and a trick to keep the child awake--i think artists are very good at it (though serious too). Children are so wise. In so many ways, i am still the same person i was when i was say, 5 years old, aren't you?

I love these skater girls...infact, I wish I had a t-shirt with these skater girls on them...wouldn't that be great?

alexandra, your comment is encouraging and sweet, however last year I had some little bones problems (yeah, too old to be this young, he he). Plus, I'm not very agile and I'm a little scare of pain, you know. My husband skates, and so he's teaching the girls, and I just enjoy watching with true envy and pride... :)
jill, I'll take in consideration making tshirts with this kinda illustration. I'm still working on these skater series.
Thank you all.

these would be great on clothing- I would buy them.

I have been seeing you in bloglines- been so busy and haven't been leaving comments, but making sure I get to read. but I came to relax a bit this morning and look at your wonderful work.

these girls have attitude! and I do think that in addition to whatever other ideas you have, these would be the favorites of girls and young women on tees and sweatshirts

thanks j for your sweet words and support. If I make up my minf and have some tshirts done, I'll let you know.

Wow -- these skater girls are cool. I too think they'd look great on a shirt.
When I was young(-er;-), I hung out with the skaters in my neighbourhood. I didn't skate myself, I just hung out, cheering "al'right - nice ollie!" or "rails" or whatever the stunts was called. I was the only girl among cooool guys. They were good times:)

Very strong thoughts, your child has. I often wonder if they see and know things that we adults have "reasoned out" as we have grown up:)

To leave a phase of life behind itself and enter a new phase it is difficult… The new does not need to be worst but it is sad to not have access to the” skatergirl” longer. I have meet this feeling some times. Perhaps it will show up more often in the future… (?)
Fun that your girls dare! (hope that you can understand my English…)

what a great wish! it WOULD be super cool to be able to skate everywhere, naturally. I used to be able to get around town really well (no tricks though) but 2X in succession, I hit a pebble while going fast. The board stops, you don't. Then I got "the fear" :( but I know exactly what you mean!
