Not a race

Buff, hay veces que crees que no es posible pelearse más veces en menos minutos, pero tus hijas están siempre dispuestas a batir records. Husband les monta el scalextric y no han dado ni una curva que ya oyes la primera bronca. Una y otra vez les explicamos lo divertido que es jugar juntas, que no importa nada excepto pasarlo bien. Una y otra vez intentas que entiendan que hay que disfrutar de los momentos, que la vida no es una carrera y que no importa ni quien llegue antes ni quien tenga el coche más rápido o bonito.
Hoy ha sido una de esas mañanas.

Buff, sometimes you think that fighting more times in fewer minutes couldn't be possible, but my daughters are always willing to break a new record. Husband has set the Scalextric and their cars haven't passed the first curve and you can already hear their first row. We try to explain once again how fun it is to play together, nothing matters more but having fun. Once and again we try to make them understand they have to enjoy each and every moment, that life is not a race and that it does not really matter who comes first or who has the fastest or prettiest car.
Today's been one of those mornings.
