La siesta (paper dreams revisited)

Lying down she hunted a thought that had vanished only a moment before. She hadn't been there with her eyes closed for too long, but her breathing had already become imperceptible and harmonious. She heard muffled voices, telephone conversations beyond the door, maybe a television, the weather forecaster… She wished those days she was living would happen again, she wished that the sun reigned, that the calendar paused… Oh, the behind the kitchen's door calendar… there she marked everybody's birthday, relatives' and friends' alike… Today she hadn't checked it early in the morning as usual and somehow she knew there was someone left to congratulate. She was about to open her eyes and rise, but she hold herself back. Wrapped in her comfort she reviewed her projects, she tried carelessly to put order to her tasks and finally she could not help but to doze while her mind wandered and felt the images from that funny and exhausting morning falling upon her.

i feel i could plant a forest of fruit trees or scenes from her dreams on that blanket. I want to walk up it, look on the other side. :)
