Today's my friend Steve's birthday and I've made a poster to celebrate it.
I met Steve back in 1987, and for a couple of years I worked with him, traveled along, visited him in L.A. and New York and I'm happy to have managed to stay in touch ever since. He's the kinda guy worth knowing, one of those who enrich your life just by listening to him.
Last time I saw him he was considering celebrating this birthday around here but I'm afraid it hasn't turned out this way. So, from where I sit, I wish him a very happy birthday!!

Hoy es el cumpleaños de Steve y he hecho un poster para celebrarlo.
Conocí a Steve en 1987 y durante un par de años trabajé y viajé con él, y le visité en Los Angeles y Nueva York. Me alegra que hayamos mantenido el contacto desde entonces. Steve es de esa clase de personas que merece la pena conocer, que enriquecen tu vida simplemente con escucharles.
La última vez que nos vimos me dijo que estaba considerando celebrar este cumpleaños aquí cerca, pero me temo que no ha podido ser. Así que desde la distancia, le deseoun feliz cumpleaños!
