Corner view: music

Those who personally know me also know the importance of music throughout my life.
For this corner view I could have chosen a picture of some of my friends shows, or husband's, or of our record collection, or of his guitars...
However, I feel a little nostalgic so I've picked a blurred picture from the vaults. This is apicture of me walking at night among two american musicians, in a city I've forgotten, in days full of adventure, roads, travels and new friendships.
A great time.

Today's music:
The Smiths

It's funny how a picture that others may think is completely unrelated to the topic brings back a memory that is exactly on the topic! If I had used this approach, my picture would have been of three people sitting in an Indian restaurant - three people at 3am who had just wrapped up a disco session for a wedding reception. I can still remember the songs that were played and the dancing - the music lives on in my memories.

A nostalgic photo - I tend to get quite depressed looking at old photos, even if they depict good times. Not sure why, maybe they illustrate the passing of time morfe clearly than I wish. ANyway, I loved your description of When Summer Begins down below! For our corresponding Winter: bringing out the brushed cotton sheets and duvet covers, filling hot water bottles, stopping at the side of the road on dry days to buy fire wood, stocking the deep freeze with home-made soups, taking out my coats, boots, scarves, hats and fingerless gloves, listening to rain falling on the roof ...

Music is a big part of my life (and my family's). How lucky we are. I, too, have had many days full of adventure.

Cheers to all the adventures to come!

p.s. I love the Smiths!
